White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers

Ingredients
  

1 pound ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 whole wheat burger buns

Lettuce and tomato slices, for topping

Optional: Sriracha mayo for serving

Instructions
 

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

    Divide the chicken mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty, making sure they are uniform in thickness for even cooking.

      Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties to the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the patties are golden brown.

        While the burgers are cooking, toast the whole wheat buns until lightly golden.

          Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers: place a patty on the bottom half of each bun, and top with lettuce, tomato slices, and a dollop of Sriracha mayo if desired.

            Place the top half of the bun over the burger and enjoy your delicious White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers!
