Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 large flour tortillas

2 cups frozen french fries

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup diced red onion

1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)

Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish

Sour cream, for serving

Salsa, for serving

Instructions

Cook the Fries: Preheat your oven and bake the frozen french fries according to package instructions until crispy. Set aside once done.

Marinate the Steak: In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the thinly sliced flank steak and toss well to coat. Let it marinate for about 15 to 30 minutes while you prep the other ingredients.

Cook the Steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for a minute before slicing into smaller pieces.

Assemble the Burritos: Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Start with a generous layer of baked fries, followed by the cooked steak, diced tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño slices (if using), and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.

Wrap the Burrito: Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll from the bottom up to enclose the filling, creating a burrito. Ensure all fillings are tucked inside.

Grill the Burritos: Heat a clean skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the burritos seam-side down and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until the tortilla is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese melts.

Serve It Up: Remove the burritos from the skillet, slice in half, and serve with sour cream, salsa, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro on top.
