Ingredients

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup honey

1-2 teaspoons chili flakes (adjust for heat preference)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon into bite-sized cubes, approximately 1-inch pieces. Pat dry with paper towels for better searing.

Marinate: In a bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the salmon pieces and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 15 minutes.

Make Hot Honey Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine honey, chili flakes, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Heat on low-medium, stirring occasionally until it begins to bubble gently. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook Salmon: Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated salmon pieces in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes total depending on thickness.

Baste with Sauce: In the last minute of cooking, brush the hot honey sauce over the salmon bites, allowing the flavors to meld as it caramelizes slightly.

Serve: Transfer the salmon bites to a serving platter. Drizzle with any remaining hot honey sauce and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for garnish.

Enjoy: These hot honey salmon bites are fantastic served warm as an appetizer or over a bed of rice or salad for a lighter meal!
