For the Chicken Bites:

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

For the Creamy Parmesan Pasta:

8 oz (225g) fettuccine or your pasta of choice

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Fresh basil or additional parsley, for garnish

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta:

    - In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

      Prepare the Chicken Bites:

        - In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.

          - Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

            - Increase the heat to medium-high and add the chicken pieces. Season with smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

              - Cook until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

                Make the Creamy Sauce:

                  - In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and olive oil.

                    - Pour in the heavy cream and stir well to combine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

                      - Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Let the sauce simmer gently until creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

                        Combine Pasta and Chicken:

                          - Add the cooked pasta to the creamy sauce, tossing to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.

                            - Gently fold in the chicken bites until everything is well combined and heated through.

                              Serve:

                                - Transfer the creamy pasta and chicken to serving bowls.
