The reason behind this classic duo’s popularity lies in their complementary flavors and textures. Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter, stirring until smooth.

Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar to the banana mixture, mixing well until combined.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, if using, until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the bars cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, cut into squares and serve. Enjoy your delicious Chocolate Chip Banana Bars!
