Ingredients

1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced

2 cups broccoli florets

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

2 teaspoons sesame oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece of ginger, grated

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/2 cup beef broth

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 20 minutes.

Prepare the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and beef broth. Set aside.

Cook the Broccoli: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vibrant green and tender-crisp. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Beef: In the same skillet, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Allow it to sear for about 2 minutes without stirring, then continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for an additional 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through.

Add Aromatics: Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Combine Everything: Return the cooked broccoli to the skillet with the beef. Pour in the sauce and toss everything together, cooking for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.

Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over a bed of cooked rice.
